The community safety crosswalk initiative
Our initiative is a peaceful community gathering designed to foster unity and action for pedestrian safety in Charlotte. We aim to raise awareness and advocate for stronger protections to prevent future tragedies. The event, held on Saturday, March 28 at 3:00 PM at 1620 Saunders Rd. N., Charlotte, NC, includes a community prayer service, a peaceful awareness gathering, a public safety discussion, and community fellowship. We welcome all who desire to stand together for the protection of lives and the strengthening of our community.

Protecting our most vulnerable
This initiative is designed to serve pedestrians, families, children, and seniors who use or cross busy roadways, especially those vulnerable to traffic hazards. By raising awareness and engaging with city leadership and public safety officials, we promote measures that reduce risk and help prevent future tragedies. This effort brings together faith leaders, officials, and residents to create safer streets, strengthen community awareness, and foster responsible civic engagement, promoting healing, hope, and collective responsibility, which ultimately strengthens trust, unity, and long-term well-being.
